What is phase ?

Answer:- The phase is that physical quantity which determines the instantaneous displacement and direction of motion of a vibrating particle.

What is Temperature ?

Answer:- Temperature is that physical quantity which determines the direction of flow of heat.

What is specific heat ?

Answer:- The specific heat capacity of a body is defined as the amount of heat  required to raise the temperature of unit mass of that substance through 1°C.

Archimede's principle ?

Answer:- According to Archimede's principle “Whenever a body is immersed in a liquid, it experiences an upward force known as buoyant force and hence loses weight equal to the weight of the liquid displaced".

Heisenberg's uncertainty principle ?

Answer:- According to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle “It is impossible to measure simultaneously both the position and momentum (or velocity) of a microscopic particle with absolute accuracy or certainty".

What is the cause of chemical bonding ?

Answer:- The presence of one or more unpaired electrons (half filled orbitals) in the valence shell of an atom is the cause of the chemical bonding.

What is Critical temperature ?

Answer:- Critical temperature is the temperature of a gas above which it cannot be liquefied what ever high the pressure may be .The kinetic energy of gas molecules above this temperature is sufficient enough to overcome the attractive forces. Mathematically,   Critical temperature=8a/27Rb   Where, a & b are van der waal's constant

What is quality factor ?

Answer:- Quality factor or Q-factor measured the performance or sharpness of a L-R-C circuit.High the value of quality factor high is the performance of L-R-C circuit. ★ It is a dimensionless quantity. Mathematically,                       Q=w0/(w2-w1) Where, w2-w1 = bandwidth =R/L

Lenz's law ?

Answer:- According to lenz's law the direction of induced emf is always such that it opposes the very cause producing it.

What is electromagnetic induction ?

Answer:- The phenomenon by  which electric current is generated by varying magnetic field is appropriately called electromagnetic induction.

What is n-factor ?

Image
Answer:- n-factor is the net change in oxidation number per formula unit of oxidising or reducing agent.(It cannot be negative always take magnitude). e.g

What is heat engine ?

Image
Answer:- Heat engine is a device which converts heat into mechanical work.

What is percentage composition ?

Image
Answer:- It is defined as the number of parts by mass of each element present in 100 parts by mass of the compound.

What is titration ?

Answer :- It is the procedure of determining the concentration of solution by allowing a casefully measured volume to react with a standard solution of another substance, whose concentration is known.

What is atmosphere ?

Answer:- It may be defined as the protective thick gaseous mantle, surrounding the earth 🌎 which sustains life on the earth and saves it form unfriendly environment of outer space. It is held to the earth by gravitational force of attraction.

What is resonance box ?

Image
Answer:- If a oscillating tuning fork is placed vertical on a hollow box containing air having natural frequency equal to that of tuning fork, then the air inside the box is set into resonant vibrations of large amplitude and intense sound is heard.Such a box is called resonance box.

What is Viscous flow ?

Answer:- A liquid-flow in which the different layers or laminae glide over one another at a slow and steady velocity (below its critical velocity), without intermixing, is called a laminar, streamline or Viscous flow.

What is a regular matrix ?

Answer:- A square matrix A is called singular if determinant of A =0.If determinant of A≠0 then the matrix A is called a non-singular matrix or a regular matrix.

What is Piezoelectric materials ?

Answer:- Piezoelectric materials are those materials that produce an electric current when they are placed under mechanical stress. e.g crystalline solids(quartz).

What is Radioactivity ?

Answer:- The phenomenon by virtue of which a substance spontaneously, disintegrate by emitting certain radiations is called Radioactivity.

What is determinant of a matrix ?

Answer:- A square matrix of n² quantities enclosed between vertical bars is called a determinants of order n.
