What is Resistivity in electrolytic cell ?

Answer:- When a strip of metal(electrode) is brought in contact with the solution containing its own ions then the strip of metal gets positively charged or negatively charged and results into a potential being developed between the metallic strip and it's solution which is known as electrode potential. If at any electrode oxidation occur then it is called oxidation potential.simillarly if at any electrode reduction occur then it is called reduction potential. Look at the oxidation potential of zinc electrode, simillarly same things occur in case of reduction potential. Are you satisfied by this Answer

characteristics of saltbridge ?

Answer:- i. It connects the two half cells and completes the cell circuit. ii. It maintains the diffusion of ions from one electrode to another electrode. iii. It minimizes the liquid - liquid junction. iv. A cell reaction may also occur in the absence of saltbridge.

Anhydrous HCL is a bad conductor of electricity but aqueous HCL is a conductor. why ?

Reason:- For conductivity,the charge carriers are required.In anhydrous (no water) state HCL is not ionised and no charge carrier ions are available,hence bad conductor. However in aqueous solution , HCL is fully ionised producing H^+ & cl^- and conducts electricity. Are you satisfied by this answer
