Amagat law of partial volumes.

Answer:- This law states that;  “When two or more gases which do not react chemically are enclosed in a vessel,then the total volume of the gaseous mixture is equal to the sum of the partial volumes, where partial volume of gas is the volume occupied by that gas at the same temperature and pressure of the mixture." Mathematically,          V(mix)=V1+V2+V3+..........

Ideal gas.

Answer:- A gas which obeys the general gas equation and other gas laws under all conditions of temperature and pressure is known as ideal gas or perfect gas.

Graham's law of diffusion.

Answer:- Under similar conditions of temperature and pressure, the rates of diffusion of gases are inversely proportional to the square root of their densities.

Avogadro's law.

Answer:- It states that equal volumes of all gases contain equal number of molecules under similar conditions of temperature and pressure.

Gay-Lussac's law.

Statement:- It states that at constant volume, the pressure of a given mass of a gas increases by 1/273 of its original pressure at 0⁰C for every 1⁰C rise in temperature.

Boyle's law.

Answer:- The law states that at constant temperature the volume of a given mass of gas is inversely proportional to its pressure.(i.e V ∝1/p)

Diffusion of gases.

Answer:- The property of the gases by virtue of which they intermix with one another irrespective of the law of gravitation is called diffusion.

Charle's law.

Statement:- It states that the volume of the given mass of gas increases or decreases by 1/273 of its volume at 0⁰C for every 1⁰C rise or fall of temperature at constant pressure.

What is Critical temperature ?

Answer:- Critical temperature is the temperature of a gas above which it cannot be liquefied what ever high the pressure may be .The kinetic energy of gas molecules above this temperature is sufficient enough to overcome the attractive forces. Mathematically,   Critical temperature=8a/27Rb   Where, a & b are van der waal's constant

State Graham's law of diffusion ?

State Dalton's law of partial pressure ?

Statement:- When two or more chemically inert gases are enclosed in a vessel or allowed to intermix at constant temperature, the pressure exerted by the mixture of gases will be equal to the sum of the partial pressures which each gas exerts on the vessel.
