What is osmosis and osmotic pressure ?

Answer:-
The process in which solvent molecules flow from pure solvent(solution have less amount of solute)side to solution(have more solute) side through a semi permeable membrane (SPM) is called osmosis.
I.e
* The flow will continue till the equilibrium is attained.

The flow of the solvent from its side to solution side through a semi permeable membrane can be stopped if some extra pressure is applaid on the solvent from solution side. The pressure that just stops the flow of solvent is called osmotic pressure.
