Why electric potential is always negative ?

Answer:-
We know current flow due to potential difference and the direction of current flow always from higer potential to lower potential.
I.e final value of potential is less than that of initial potential value (potential is not defined potential difference is defined) hence potential difference is always negative.
        ∆V=V(final)-(Vinitial)
        i.e ∆V= negative
