What is Rosenmund's reduction reaction ?

Answer:-
When acid chloride is heated with hydrogen in the presence of catalyst, palladium in barium sulphate it gives corresponding aldehyde.This reaction is called Rosenmund's reduction reaction.
★e.g when benzoyl chloride undergo Rosenmund's reaction it gives benzaldehyde.
