Structure of H2O.

Answer:-
In H2O, the central atom is O. It can make two bonds with two hydrogen atoms due to the presence of two unpaired electrons in it.In the formation of H2O each of these electrons is shared by two hydrogen atoms. As a result the oxygen atom is surrounded by two shared pairs of electrons. Two lone pairs of electrons still remain in the valence shell.
