Young's double slit experiment.

It is an optical experiment which was performed by Thomas young, to demonstrate the interference phenomenon of light wave.Young passed the monochromatic light through a single slit and then directed the emerging light into two slits.Finally the light was received on a screen, where alternate dark and bright fringes are appear due to interference of light.
